Tet day I & II

January 19, 2012

Maybe you could save me

ASOS sunnies, Forever New paper bag shorts, Dotti chiffon button up.

I had brunch this morning with Adrii, Sandra, Ly and Khang at Gelare. After more then half a year of pronouncing the name of the place ge-la-ray, we all learned that it was actually pronounced je-la-ree. How awkward. Anyway, after we all bought some snacks before heading back to Adrii's place to watch Mission Impossible II & III.

Sandra and I also took a shot at riding around on Khang's skateboard. We both got a metre before freaking out and jumping off because we couldn't figure out how to turn.

Adrii took the matter into her own hands and created a solution for herself so that she wouldn't embarrass herself as badly.

On a completely separate note, I'm still finding it ridiculously difficult to grasp the fact that I'll begin completing my last year of high school soon. Not exactly ready for the stress, pressure or living in SLQ every Saturday so I'll just sit here and enjoy the last couple of days free I have. At least I have my senior formal to look forward to. Hope all of you are having a great week ♥

Contact lens review for Bambi - Sesame Grey

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE BAMBI SERIES ON MUKUCHU ♥

It's been way too long since my last review! Today I'll be reviewing a gorgeous bold lens designed by the amazing Tsubasa Masuwaka. I'm apologising in advance for the horrible eyeliner. I have no idea what happened.

Size - 10/10: The pair I purchased is 15.00mm so the enlargement is pretty obvious. I love the thick black border of the lens since it gives off that dolly eye look that so many people are after without going into the possessed demon appearance.

Design - 10/10: What can I say? Tsubasa always gets it right. The three sections of the lens work together perfectly so that neither the colour or border overpower each other.

Colour - 7/10: The particular grey in this lens is a bit too light for my liking but quite a few people are probably after this shade. Apart from that though, the olive in the middle of the lens really helps the sesame grey to be a noticable, bright and vibrant lens.

Hope all of you are having a lovely week! ♥

Ombré

After a long six days of work, I'm finally getting a short break. Sandra came over while I was still asleep this morning and put up with me for an hour while I rolled around in bed before we went out to buy hair bleach. For anybody that doesn't know, ombré hair is basically where the shade/tone of the hair gradually changes through the length. You'll get it when you see some photos in a second.

Before anybody asks, I used this tutorial: CLICK HERE.

This is the box we used. It was about $20 from Target and it's basically a boxed bleach that people use to streak their hair. For any dark haired people that were wondering, the bleach from this box worked really well on Sandra's hair since it was fairly light already but when I left it on my hair for the same amount of time, the change in colour wasn't as obvious. Scroll up and look at my ponytail in the first photo I posted again so you can compare!

Above is the before photo and below is the after photo.

During the period of 4 hours, Sandra bleached her hair four times. I could almost hear it crying out for mercy. Oh well, the end result looked really nice and I'm proud of myself for not destroying her lovely hair /phew.

By the way, Juicy has a new mash up so support her and send her some love by liking her page on Facebook! ♥ CLICK HERE TO GO TO JUICY'S PAGE

I hope all of you are well and enjoying your week :)

Sizzle

Today's weather was PERFECT. I went to Surfer's Paradise with a bunch of people and wow, I couldn't have asked for a better day. I'm kind of tired right now so to sum the day up, here's another bunch of dot points. I'm sorry. I'll stop using them soon.
  • Swam around with William and swallowed buckets of salt water
  • Laughed when Simon couldn't stand in the water
  • Lived with 7c in my savings for 8 hours
  • Got paid and had the happiest minute of my week
  • Broke my sunglasses
  • Clear blue skies with the perfect amount of wind
  • Built sand castles and gave up half way
  • Watched the guys play touch around a woman with a monopod who refused to move
  • Had a hilariously cringe-worthy train ride back inbound
  • Ate at Madtongsan II with some lovelies for dinner
  • Got home and saw that my new Canon 600D had arrived
  • Violently tore the box open and hugged it for the next 10 minutes
  • Named it Chase

I hope all of you are having a lovely week! ♥

Happy new year!

My new years eve and new years day:
  • Sandra slept over before new years eve
  • We woke up and got ready to meet Jason and Ly
  • Had a bowl of carbonara and a glass of cranberry mocktail from Vapiano for brunch
  • Made our way to the Mt Coot-tha lookout
  • Decided to be all coupley with Sandra while enjoying the view
  • Had some $5.50 ice cream before accidentally dropping it
  • Waited half an hour for a bus to go back down to the Mt Coot-tha gardens
  • Ran into a spiderweb and freaked out
  • Explored the gardens for an hour
  • Pointed out every adorable flower in sight
  • Started to make our way back to the city
  • Watched Happy Feet 2
  • Went home and waited until 10pm for Adrii to pick us up
  • Stopped off at a Gelato place in the valley for more ice cream
  • Got back to Adrii's and watched the first bit of The Midnight Meat Train
  • Left for Highgate Hill at 10 to 12 o' clock so we could watch the fireworks
  • Counted down to 2012
  • Called and texted a bunch of lovelies
  • Played with sparklers for half an hour
  • Made our way back home and finished The Midnight Meat Train before starting The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
  • Got bored 3/4 through the movie and went to sleep

I had an amazing year and I bet this one will be even better. Hope all of you are well! ♥
